The man and wife in front of me high fived. That's where we're at in this country.


We've made a lot of progress but anyone who thinks racism ended when Obama was elected is a damn fool. I love this country but I'm not so proud of it right now. We have a lot of soul searching to do and a lot of discussions that need to be had about guns, racism, value of human life (not just fetuses). The problem I see however is that one contingent of people in this country hold firm to their extreme views and I really doubt any sort of discussion or action will change their bigotry.

Sorry that's scattered. I've been up all night. I couldn't sleep and have had a million thoughts race through my head since the verdict.
