Why bother with trials at all?

Just turn perps over to the crowd.

Right?

Not scientific but of the 200 people in the audience about 6 went for acquittal, 6 went for second degree and about 100 went for manslaughter. These were obviously people who followed the trial so I think they represent how the majority of Americans would have voted.

I paid attention during the initial jury selection, I would say almost every potential juror from that area of FL was leaning towards defending Zimmerman. I really think the jury was tainted from the get go.

We're those really his peers?

I might have expected a different set of jurors.

It wasn't the dead 17 year old who was brandishing a sidewalk, it was the wimpy wannabe-cop who couldn't get away without shooting the kid and killing him.

It means commoners to be jurors for commoners, nobles to be jurors for nobles.

Under US law, everybody are peers.

beyond a doubt. He, a grown white male, murdered a high schooler (of color) in cold blood and everyone knows it.

BTW, I don't think this is over, I think this is a turning point in the U.S. Civil Rights movement. A trigger that may lead to good. At least that is my hope; that this travesty will not be for naught.
