was thinking about this as people are wondering about what georgie porgy will be doing with the rest of his life.

georgie is a bully with a gun, who thinks he is tougher and bigger and meaner than anyone, especially now that a jury has let him off. but, there is always a bigger bully, with a bigger gun, or wand, and, sooner or later, he is going to meet up with that person.

may he, and everyone involved in this horrendous case, receive everything they deserve.

1. That seems a bit extreme

I'm not one for hoping the "Zimmerman gets what's coming to him" - that sounds too close to anarchy.

I suspect that he WILL get what's coming to him. He seems awfully eager to provoke confrontation, take matters into his own hands, and in general act as a law unto himself - and he's a guy who needs a gun to empower his manhood. As you point out, such people keep pushing until they wind up in a situation they can't handle.

My real concern is that Floriduh just gave a shooting license to every gun-packing would-be Pistol of Goodness who wants to go out and roam their neighborhoods looking for [s]young black males in hoodies[/s] suspicious characters to confront and shoot.

My best friend lives in Florida. So does my kids' 'honorary' grandmother. We won't be visiting them anytime soon.

2. welcome to DU--really, what is extreme about what I said? please note that I did NOT say

"get what is coming to him". I SAID, "may everyone receive exactly what they deserve". I know what I THINK he deserves, but the universe, or even that violent god in which he professes to believe, may have a different take on the matter.

He IS a bully with a gun and an attitude. but, there ARE bigger bullies, with bigger guns, and bigger attitude. and, in all likelihood, he will encounter one of them, given his history of violence.
