demeanor during the press conference last night. Thank God I am not the only one thinking something was up with that grinning preening fool.
A. She is a conservative Republican.
B. She is an elected official in a very conservative area.
This trial turned out perfectly for her.
A. She looks like she did the right thing. (However much she overstepped with the murder 2 charge)
B. The outcome of the trial won't impact her reelection changes.
And if I heard correctly this is the same prosecutor that put Marrisa Alexander a black woman in jail for 20 years for firing a warning shoot into the ceiling to discourage her abusive husband.
This all just reeks.
On edit change conservation to conservative. Duh.

(26,219 posts)I thought she looked pleased as punch with the verdict. You could tell Mantei was pissed, and she was 180 degrees from his remarks.

(17,056 posts)I did see one of the prosecutors mention Trayvon' s parents and he sounded angry with an appropriate demeanor, but I don't remember anyone named Mantei.

(1,799 posts)Her entire happy demeanor seemed off but now it makes perfect sense. She looked happy because she was happy. Wow. I'm sickened.

(42,334 posts)I turned the Tv off last night during Corey's revolting display. I knew Scott appointed her and that she was an R but didn't connect the dots until MHP.

(8,556 posts)I thought she was trying to project confidence in response to the notion that the prosecution blew it.
I got more of a 'don't even try to blame me for this' vibe.

(12,409 posts)I begin to feel we were played from the beginning. I would go so far as to say the jury itself was a plant. We here at DU were frequently dumbfounded by the poor prosecution of the case....it all seems to smell today.
