Specifically, Bush rule. Screwed up Texas AND Florida, and the whole country.

5. Much of Florida is still very much set in old southern bigotry

Obviously there are the more populous cities like Miami that are more progressive and less racist, but there is still a lot of work left, like much if the country I might add.
