I think this comment is extraordinarily racist in and of itself. I think this whole thread does nothing but scream racism. Unfounded racist accusations and assumptions are just as divisive as truly racist remarks.

but well documented and studied? This comes from crime stats, conviction rates by race and the race of the victim, sentence length, etc.

While I am sure there are some racist elements in the justice system (as there are all over society) I think by and large most people in it, and most jurors, are good people who do the best job they can under the law.

The crime scene would have been much better investigated.

the shooter would have been subjected to a real, tough interview, not one where the cop practically told him his own one sided story.

However, I contend that Florida is a state and courts are cruel to children. I have found their treatment of children harsh and unreasonable altogether.
