General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIt's official. This country sucks.
The 1% own everything including our politicians. Wages are so low people can't feed their families. Texas and other states pass unconstitutional abortion laws. The Supreme Court says it is constitutional for corporations to buy elections, but it's not okay for minorities to vote. Our government is defunding and privatizing all of our public services, and a paranoid stalker who profiled an innocent child gets away with killing him. Can it get anymore depressing? I've never felt so hopeless.

(12,448 posts)There are no options. Nobody is going to "fix" this. You can't vote this away. The powerful are going to continue to do as they will for their own purposes and they own the mechanisms that were designed to restrain them.
This is just the latest in a long series of events that have clearly demonstrated where we are headed.
Think about this in those terms and try to imagine how those with even less power than you have are feeling, then make your choice.
