The Pathetic Truth: George Zimmerman Could Be Elected Governor in Six States Tomorrow.

It kills me to say this, but George Zimmerman would have a cake walk in being elected as Governor in at least a half dozen states if elections could be held tomorrow. He's a hero already now to a very sick, and large element in this country that will never get over their racism.

It's just so culturally acceptable to be racist in great swaths of this country that there's really nothing that can be done about it. People choose to hate and pass along their bigotries to their children. They do it at home, they do it in schools and yes, they even do it in their churches.

Mark my words, George Zimmerman will actually now become a hero to millions of Americans. Some overtly and others more quietly.

And that should make you sick. It makes me sick.

When the President of the United States, elected twice, now has to have a 60 vote majority in the Senate to pin an award on a girl scout, then we are in trouble.

Birth Certificates? Teabaggers? NRA mocks the death of school chidden? Immigrant bashing wins elections? Chick-A-Fil is now the bastion of "free speech"? Women's reproductive rights are eliminated on a whim? Banksters get bailouts while workers get laid off and their jobs are off shored? Public school teachers are monitored by rightwing zealot nuts?

Let me tell you, I've lived a very long time. This nation is splitting.
