Don't Waste Your Energy Getting Mad at the NRA or Conservatives

For years now I have seen nothing but hateful comments online from conservatives. Whether it be a YouTube video on guns, a newspaper article on welfare, or this Trayvon case, they love to spew their hate everywhere. Makes you wonder if they really work themselves.

I have learned that it is not worth wasting your time with these people. They are living in their own, sad little world and it's slipping away from them. Fortunately many of them are older and my generation (I'm 23) has a better perspective on things like this. Many of you here do as well.

You won't change their minds. They want a fight. They want a race riot. They are filled with hate and it's sad. But they aren't worth your time.

Just my 2 cents.

1. The best thing you can do is reject them.

Not boycott. You do not want one. You want to reject these people.

The rural/southern/vigilante culture needs to be rejected in all forms, that includes entertainment (country music/nascar).

America's demographics are changing radically. You do not need these people. I hope progressives will eventually win by attrition.

I don't. I'm 65 and heartsick about the country I live in. Are you saying it won't get better in my lifetime? So what do I do, crawl in bed and pull the covers over my head? Accept that this is all I can expect?

I was young and idealistic once, too. Certain that a better world was just ahead, and look where I am now.

Education is the enemy of conservatism.

Smart people reject Saint Ronnie, Republican Jesus, Conservative Magic Economics (We can create infinite tax revenue by cutting the tax-rate to zero!) and angels of Libertarianism.

I'm just telling you it's pointless. It's not about me having the luxury to wait for change or not pushing our policies, it's about trying to talk sense into people like the guy with the "not guilty" sign in FL today. It's not going to happen.
