Because there was an overwhelming circumstantial case.

I'm not quite as mad over this verdict, but I'm plenty mad.

It's disgusting, and I'm shocked. I have to blame the prosecution for this meaning Bernie. He did an utterly CRAP job on this case. He missed so much obvious lies by Zimmerman I wanted to spit. He wasted so much energy arguing who was on top when it made no damn difference. He had to have been asleep when he should have been making obvious objections allowing O'Mara to get in plausible excuses that he never bothered to clear up either. And he never even bothered to bring up obvious issues such as the body being no where near the sidewalk and the impossibility of Zimmerman being able to get to his gun in the positions he claimed he and Martin were in. There were sooooooo many things he never bothered to bring up, and he never clarified shit. His crosses were despicably useless.

I also blame those two lying cops especially Serino who DID believe Zimmerman committed manslaughter and went behind his boss's back to try to get an arrest warrant.

I also blame the judge for not making it clear that Stand Your Ground goes both ways - Martin had every right and more of a right to stand HIS ground.

But most of all I blame the jury for not seeing the obvious whether the prosecution brought it up or not. How they could possibly have gotten passed his obvious and numerous lies is beyond me.

And after watching Corey after the verdict I absolutely believe she chose Bernie to fuck up this case. He was beyond terrible. I was never able to get passed how terrible he was with his record. I never could figure out why he was so horrible even a first year law student could have done better. He was THAT bad and very obviously so.

And now I find out he never even met with Rachel even just to explain how the system worked. No wonder she didn't understand why the defense was beating her up on the stand while Bernie had his thumb up his ass - she had no idea what cross examination even WAS.
