(42,239 posts)I went back to work the next day. I was selling photocopiers at that time. I went out canvasing and unfortunately chose a London street with all 5 story buildings and no effing lifts. I'd also walked a mile or so to get there. I lasted about 2 hours, caught a taxi back to the office and went home sick.

I am sex positive and I want humans, no matter their sexual orientation or gender, to be able to have happy and loving sexual lives.

(113,600 posts)you may be sex positive, but the woman-haters of the legislatures and churches are not. this is simply an attempt to get those jerks to see things from the other side.
RainDog
(28,784 posts)but, again, I do say it's not all men.
however, if any feminists want to start a forcible castration vigilante group for the women-haters - I would really be tempted to sign up. lol.

hey, agent mikey--where do YOU stand on women's bodily autonomy?

(28,784 posts)and side with religious demand over equal rights for women.
The compromise the administration offered is reasonable b/c it does not have catholic organizations directly offering contraception. What I don't understand, however, is why this matters since Catholics do not follow this dictum. It's like a joke - it's like saying to Galileo that, of course the earth doesn't revolve around the sun - because that was the traditional belief.
The idea that people may not use birth control in any situation is simply delusional.
The state may not collude with a minority of religious believers to force others to face discrimination because they work for this or that corporation - as in churches that lobby to influence law.

(113,600 posts)this whole issue of fighting about contraception is nothing new--the only thing new is how openly and virulently they are doing it.
