When we type something, we are told it is automatically copyrighted. "All rights reserved." Corporate has decided that audio is worthy of copyright, radio; and audio video, TV. The only difference in a phone call and a radio show is that one is available for sale and broadcast, and the other was considered at one time, "private". Private simply means an extremely limited distribution. Distribution of the audio phone call was limited to one other person. It is worth noting that the act of typing, the same process used in writing a novel, is how a phone number was dialed, at least until automatic dialers, which still require data "keyboard" entry. It is curious that the phone companies assert ownership over numbers other people type into a machine.

ALEC writes our laws now.

The "rule of law" is a farce as evidenced by the following example:

A free pass for the financial moguls that brought austerity to the world in 2008.

Screw the copyright phone call excuse.

Folks with common sense know right from wrong.

The OP makes complete sense.

He correctly identifies right from wrong.
