Like him or not, he's accrued additional power in the GOP and no doubt plans to continue to do so.
You may be looking at another presidential run or at least a Veep seat on the GOP ticket for him in 2016 or later.
He's young by GOP standards.

There are some very wealthy farmers and far right millionaires in Idaho.
He isn't there for votes he is there for money.
