Is anyone else experiencing an increase in spam?

Seems the amount of spam my mail system kicks out every day has grown enormously.

1. Not spam, but an explosion of telemarketing calls

As if the 'Do Not Call' registry has subsided. The number and variation of PBA type charities has sure swelled as well. In 9 years on the net, I've only had one "cold call" spam email.

2. Not spam, but the daily call or two every morning is getting old.

Luckily, my current isp does a good job of filtering.

I have 129 spam messages in my spam folder.

My main email is almost unbearable. I use Mailwasher or I would try to trash the account except I own the domain. I average 300 a day with maybe 25 bring legit. I use another web account to keep in contact with most friends as their spam filter is way better. Gotta find another provider that does better filtering.

5. This morning I am up to 249

This is through my gmail account and I do not know what I would do without the filters. I still, every now and then, feel like I should go through the spam to see if any legitimate mail got pulled. As short a time a maybe two or three months ago I was seeing less than 25 a day.
