PolitiFOX is at it again!

This has to be a publicity stunt. How can preventative measures make you healthier and not reduce costs??? When did it become as expensive to be healthy as it is to be sick?

Our ruling

As a general notion, the idea that "preventive care … saves money, for families, for businesses, for government, for everybody" is no more true today than it was in 2009. Yes, preventive measures often save lives and keep patients healthier. Certain preventive measures may save money as well.

So as has been stated before, their health care plan is, die quickly.

If you go to the Doc with a minor pain somewhere he will send you out for 10k worth of tests. Mainly to avoid malpractice liability. The AHCA is a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe the SCOTUS will put it out of its misery. Someone needs to try to get Medicare for all. And get the damn insurance companies and lawyers out of the Health Care.

Plan a start date. Set up the tax rate. Send out the cards. It is all already in place. Except cancel Medicare Advantage. Send the Insurance Companies packing.

Health Care is not insurable. It was once. No longer. Health insurance is an Oxymoron. Now if only some politicians would push it. The Government does so much it should not. But not the thing it should. The Health Law is awful.

Insurance Companies get 15% off the top of all Health Care expense. Just for Electronic Claim Processing. Ridiculous. This is not insurance. It is Highway Robbery.

For each 10k in tests, how much does it cost to treat a given ailment? I'd have to read the study but I have a hunch it is flawed. It's not like the entire population is being tested, only a small percentage. Of that a small percentage may actually reveal an ailment. The cost of catching and treating the ailment can save hundreds of thousands.

But the way it is going is insane. No schedule. Catch as catch can. Malpractice paranoia. If everyone had Medicare and the lawyers were out of the picture it could be a boon not a boondoggle.

Was started to do what you say. It failed miserably. Original Medicare is the solution. It worked.

the preventative care means expensive testing of each individual for all disease. I think Obama is talking about yearly checkups with testing where the doctor deems it is needed.
