A Redlands high school teacher who gave birth to a baby allegedly fathered by her teen student is facing more sex charges.

KNX 1070’s Mike Landa reported that Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst, 28, was re-arrested Monday and charged with 41 felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation involving three minors.

Her bail was raised from $25,000 to $750,000, according to Christopher Lee, a spokesman for the San Bernardino County district attorney’s office.

Whitehurst, who worked at Citrus Valley High School, was initially arrested July 1 after being accused of having the baby of a then-16-year-old student. She was released after posting bail.
