Jim Carrey apologizes to gun owners on Twitter

"Jim Carrey apologizes to assault rifle owners for past anti-gun comments: 'I'm sorry that in my outrage I called you names'

The actor took to Twitter on Sunday to apologize for previous statements aimed at assault rifle owners when he called them 'heartless motherf-----s' and 'maniacs.' "

Carrey also says he cannot support a movie in which he appears because it is too violent.

"In upcoming flick 'Kick-Ass 2,' Jim Carrey poprtrays comic book character Colonel Stars and Stripes. But it seems Carrey won't be supporting the new release, tweeting that 'in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence' after the Newtown, Conn., massacre."

Jim Carrey is a m*****f***ing hypocrite. He denouncing his latest movie for being too violent? He made both of these shitty movies (Kiss Ass and Kiss Ass 2) after the Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings. He made the second one after the Aurora shootings. Like I said, he's a hypocrite for now denouncing guns and now offering a fake apology.

He did sign on for Kick Ass 2 just a few months after Aurora though.

I have not seen any of, his movies not have I the original to the sequal he is now denouncing. I wonder if a typical Hollywood film contract includes penalties for badmouthing the film you got paid to act in.

anyone who is someone and speaks out about guns gets threats.
It's how they operate.

your post to be one of an insult, but I just considered the source. I'm a northerner. We just celebrated Independence Day and commemorated the Battle of Gettysburg where we commemorated the 1st Minnesota. The Union was saved that day by the 1st Minnesota. Look it up if you care to.

this asshat says it all. All that's missing from this video is his white sheet and KKK hood, and the obligatory noose dangling from the tree in his front yard.

And this angry, violent "true American" legally owns a fucking gun thanks to the NRA bought-and-paid-for politicians who are just as fucking stupid as he is.

Jim Carrey is to be applauded for having the courage to speak out, and for apologizing for his slightly over-the-top language in doing so.
