Do you think the following scenario is possible:
Zimmerman confronts Martin with his gun already drawn. Martin takes a stand perhaps just verbal (may not even actually go after Zimmerman). Zimmerman panics (we know from the gym guy that Zimmerman is totally inept and could never actually physically defend himself) and shoots Martin. Martin's forward momentum takes him into Zimmerman knocking him over (at which time Zimmerman may have hit his head one time on the concrete). That is when Zimmerman concocts a story about feeling like his life was threatened, head bashing, mouth/nose covered, and Martin grabbing for the gun.
Could Martin have been standing up and fall into Zimmerman thereby knocking Zimmerman over, and the rest is history?
forensics doesn't support it and at least one witness actually saw the fight, the gunshot came after Good came outside, saw them on the ground struggling, went back into the house, called 911 then then heard the shot.
So, unless the witness' and the forensics lab are lying, which there is no proof of that, then your scenario is not possible.

(10,952 posts)too many stories. In Zimmerman's recreation with the police and his interviews, the gun is in the back where it would be very difficult to see because of the holster it was in and the poor lighting. Then Omara is trying to say that it is in the front. They need to make up their minds.

(5,957 posts)The problem for the prosecution is there are too many possibilities. There is disagreement among witnesses as to whose voice was on the tape. This seems to be headed for a reasonable doubt acquittal.

(5,455 posts)and eyewitness testimony has Martin on top of Zimmerman making striking motions.

(10,952 posts)was the totally inept guy, incapable of physically defending himself (as portrayed by the gym) I have a hard time believing that Zimmerman did not already have his gun drawn as he approached Martin. If Martin saw Zimmerman pointing a gun at him, it would make 100% sense why Martin would have fought Zimmerman - to save his own life. To me that is the only scenario that makes sense. If the gun was in the holster, I don't see how Zimmerman could have gotten it out if Martin was holding him down because Zimmerman's initial story was the gun was in a special gun holster in the back. If you are on your back, how can you reach around and get your gun if you are supposedly getting your head bashed and your mouth/nose is covered to keep you from yelling?
I really think that the guy was already out, Martin fought for his life, and Zimmerman killed him when they went down.
