Defense Team - Good Day or Bad Day

I would say that it was not a great day for the Defense Team for the following reasons:

1. Parade of Zimmerman's supporters

The Defense does not understand the concept of Less if More
It went on way too long, with too many people
Do they really think that people believe that Husbands and Wives don't discuss everything?
The defense was bringing in character witnesses under the guise of fact witnesses

2. The Detectives

They consistently come across as Defense witnesses. The guy was totally willing to cut Zimmerman slack on the "it doesn't sound like me but not a grieving father who is having a hard time dealing with the fact that his son is dead.

3. Tracy Martin

I thought that he held up well on the witness stand, very stoic. It also appears, based upon Tracy's testimony, that the Detectives were extremely meager in the amount of time that they spent with him on the audio tapes. Tracy also got to talk about the loss of his son before the jurors.

4. Gym Guy

He testified that, despite all the hours he spent in the gym, Zimmerman was inept and totally incapable of physically defending himself. Wouldn't that make him more likely to pull out his gun and use it? If he was that inept, why would he follow and confront anybody that he thought suspicious? I have known a lot of people who studied different types of martial arts and, people who know what they are doing, don't look to get into confrontations and don't feel a need to either.

Zimmerman is a cop wannabee (although how he ever thought he could become a cop is beyond belief) who never would have even been able to pass the physical training necessary to have become a cop.
