A local Indiana ICON Sammy Terry died a few days ago.

He had a Friday night show called Nightmare Theater on the local independent station that every kid in Indianapolis would try and stay up to watch. He had a spider named George. He was a very, very nice man in real life and will be missed.

From 1969 until his death in 1979, Joseph Zawislak appeared on WPHL Channel 17 in Philadelphia as "Dr. Shock", flamboyant host of horror movies. I was one of hundreds of youngsters who tuned in every Saturday. This tribute film was aired in 1980, before VCRs became prominent; please excuse the poor quality.
