Little Eddie, a 2-year-old terrier whose owner claimed to have found him in a dumpster, was adopted Tuesday from the Nebraska Humane Society.

Pam Wiese, a Humane Society spokeswoman, said the dog is young, healthy and cute — a combination that led to a quick adoption.

Kenneth Harrison, 28, and his girlfriend originally owned Little Eddie. Harrison claimed he was a New Yorker and fabricated a story about finding the dog in a dumpster.
