Is it possible to use body temperature to power up an iPhone?

Now, we have a winner at Google Science fair who make a torchlight that can be charged by palm temperature.
So, I am wondering that if it is possible to charge an iPhone by using body temperature (via a heat receptor that was clipped under the armpit). In your opinion, is it possible?

Yes, but it wouldn't power it for long. onehandle Jul 2013 #2

Sure, the simple fact that so many of us are fat shows that there is ample energy available. 1-Old-Man Jul 2013 #9

An LED flashlight takes a tiny fraction of the power it takes to run a smartphone.

Solid state temperature driven electrical generation is available, but depends on temperature differences to work. Most of the body is covered with clothing, so that wouldn't work well at high enough output for charging. You'd be better off with a solar charger attached to a hat. Of course that might be a little funny-looking.

Many things that are possible make no sense on a practical level.

You would need a way to keep the phone cooler than you.

I'm not saying that plugging your phone into a charger run off of fat is going to cause anyone to lose weight, but its an energy source that could certainly be tapped.

That said it might be easier to develop a charger that fit in the heel of your shoe and used the energy available when you put your foot down and pick it up as your walk.
