About school lunches, nutrition and the like

So this story about the nuggets versus the turkey sammich. Okay, I don't know all the details but I heard that the mother had packed potato chips.

I worked in a school and have heard that some districts will not allow brown-bagging of lunch because they got too many cases of kids coming with JUNK. This was food packed by adults for their kids. And I have seen too many kids in the morning eating Flamin' Hotz and drinking nuclear sugar water with a foil lid. It's garbage. They'd be better off fasting all day.

So schools are trying to curb the obesity issue by taking charge YET AGAIN. Parents are not always unable to afford breakfast for their kids but hey--it's free, right? Let the school pay for it!

So when are we going to see a generation of parents across the board with the common sense to feed their kids properly?
