Zimmerman killed an unarmed teenager ...

Its a tragedy ... but I find the amount of sustained media attention that this one case is receiving translates to nothing more than perverse entertainment ..

What about sandyhook and the criminals responsible (NRA and politicians supporting NRA) for that crime ... many more kids died there ...

If you divide the national tv minutes given to each event by the number of victims --- you will find that zimmerman coverage blows away Sandy hook ...

Well, the fact that there's a trial has something to do with a lot of the coverage. Tommy_Carcetti Jul 2013 #4

... while Zimmerman represents racist vigilantes throughout the country. His case will set a precident for "self defense" murders and will be used in other parts of the country. A suicidal mass murderer will never go to trial. Zimmerman is about what is and is not legitimate use of lethal force while Sandy Hook is about more stringent gun control measures.

Both are tragic, but they aren't even close to the same issue.

That being said, both incidents have received a large amount of coverage. And both deserve to be covered.
