Have you changed what you say on internet because of NSA Surveillance

This is not a debate over the type of data being collected

I just what to know from DU'ers has the current revelations of NSA surveillance changed the context of your internet posting or personal phone calls

Getting a lot more cautionary tales about keeping a very low profile electronically. And getting free chauffeur service anywhere so that they prefer face-to-face to anything that can be monitored by the pervs.

What a world!

I am neither a criminal nor a political extremist. I have suspected them of doing it since the 1980s anyhow (especially for people active on DU), so no, my electronic habits have not changed. I was a shortwave radio listener and former Navy Electronics Technician. I sometimes worked with Electronics Warfare Specialists and Cryptology Technicians. I was taught at a young age that you never want to say anything electronically that you would not shout in the main square because somebody somewhere is listening.

Nevertheless that does not mean I think it's alright for the NSA to violate everyone's rights by going fishing. It just means I have been an aware fuddy duddy for a very long time.

It's when they go after you that you have to worry. Our constitution is now meaningless. All they have to do is site "national security".

I remember AT&T doing it for Bush a few years back. If they haven't arrested me by now then I guess I'm not criminal enough because I've said some very nasty shit about the Bush Era. Especially regarding The Dick Cheney. If he hasn't had me arrested I don't think anyone will.
