Oceania had always been at war with both Eurasia and Eastasia. Quite half the posters had the wrong faces on them. Clearly the agents of Goldstein and/or Li Quan had been at work.

It was supposed to say "reset" but it was translated "peregruzka" instead.

"Overload."

Originally billed as a mistaken translation, perhaps it was merely a prescient translator at work?

Or perhaps he was trying for "perezagruzka"--"reload" (as in "reload" a page or piece of software, which usually restores initial settings ... none too good, with Russia).
