from a wolf reintroduction area, where it hasn't gone all that well. I would love just to see one.

Closest I get are coyotes. I've seen them on the other side of my fence, looking in at my dogs as if to say, "Hey, guys, come out over here and play!" And a few weeks ago, one was actually in the yard, being chased by one of the more-or-less domesticated canines, all in fun.

We need our wild things. All of them.

with wolves. They finally had some success in the Rockies and then yanked them off the the protected list. With no sensitivity or understanding what it means to cause packs of wolves to collapse, the hunting and ranch interests have prevailed. These policies were started with the Bush Admin. and under the present admin. Grey Wolves were de listed in the N. Rockies.
and now they are proposing to take Grey Wolves off the protected list in the lower 48 states, and it looks like this may happen.
Another huge disappointment, where money interests win out.
