Putin and Obama order security agencies to find way out of Snowden impasse

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama have ordered the chiefs of their respective security agencies to find a way out of the impasse caused by fugitive leaker Edward Snowden’s stay in a Moscow airport, a senior official said on Monday.

“Of course (Putin and Obama) don’t have a solution now that would work for both sides, so they have ordered the FSB director (Alexander) Bortnikov and FBI director Robert Mueller to keep in constant contact and find solutions,” the head of Russia’s Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, said in an interview with state television channel Rossiya 24.

He's going to be back in the USA before too long, I would think.

Obama: Vladimir, this is turning into a real clusterfuck.
Putin: Absolutely, Barack.
Obama: So, lets put some people on this and see if we can't deal with it without a lot of drama. What do you think?
Putin: A capital idea, I think. We can hold onto him at the airport until it gets figured out.
Obama: I'll appreciate that. If your people have any ideas, please let me know.
Putin: We will. Time will help, I am sure.
Obama: OK. We'll stay in touch. Nice to talk with you again.
Putin: Do Svidanya!
Obama: Bye.

All you have to do is see how traitors to Russia fared under his tenure. If the situation were reversed, Putin would have already made sure that someone from GRU or SVR would have slipped Snowden polonium in his food. That is how Putin deals with folks he considers traitors to Russia. It's a drawn out and painful death.

Putin has no problem using a traitor, but he despises them utterly.
