Tell-all telephone: what meta data shows (six months worth - man sued and got this info)

Tell-all telephone

Green party politician Malte Spitz sued to have German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom hand over six months of his phone data that he then made available to ZEIT ONLINE. We combined this geolocation data with information relating to his life as a politician, such as Twitter feeds, blog entries and websites, all of which is all freely available on the internet.

By pushing the play button, you will set off on a trip through Malte Spitz's life. The speed controller allows you to adjust how fast you travel, the pause button will let you stop at interesting points. In addition, a calendar at the bottom shows when he was in a particular location and can be used to jump to a specific time period. Each column corresponds to one day.

Play the animation and watch the info to the right of it as well.

For me, a little uncomfortable, especially when you tie it in with the comments on the right of the screen. And if one overlaid path were to cross another (ESPECIALLY if there's a pause there)...

Since Kevin Bacon is apparently only six degrees removed from everybody ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon ), I've decided I'm going to blame it all on him when I'm hauled in for questioning.

it really is that simple. if you don't want to be tracked, then don't have a cell phone, and don't use the internet. just sit there, holed up in your house or apartment, and enjoy all that freedom! see how easy it is? let freedom ring! just don't pick up the phone when it does.

I'm getting teased in a nice way about how upset I am regarding total information awareness, but I think I'm beginning to break through on the seriousness of this.

And the demands by Germany and France that we stop. Ears perked up.

I gotta say, I've been noticing chinks appearing in your Coincidence Theory armor & the like for some time now. Really--it's like when your leg fell asleep & you later moved so that circulation started up again. It feels really weird & uncomfortable for awhile, but then in a little while it feels much better & you wonder why you let a part of yourself fall asleep like that.
