(118,682 posts)But there was a time when my parents were so hard on me. Now I know sone of that was because of vicious gossip. And my parents are so passive and had no tools to fight back. But yeah. As they age they are mellow and cute at times. And my relationship to them has changed again. But even when I didnt get along with them I knew I loved them. I had a moment when my life as I knew it came to an end and my mother & love flashed before mine eyes. So I get to spend lots of time with them these days. And I go through phases of doing things to entertain them. Last year it was movies. This year Im on a cooking kick. And I try to show them support in their time of need. Even though one of them did not support me. Im whole by not holding it against them.
