I Bought a New Flag Today.
My old flag has seen a lot of display on National Holiday over the past 9 years, and was a little faded. I was at a street festival this weekend, and a vendor had flags. The woman at the booth had a sign, saying that her flags were hand made. I asked if she had made them, and she said that she had. So i bought a 3X4 foot US flag, and a rainbow flag from her. Individual stripes and hand stitched stars on the national emblem. On Thursday, I will fly both outside my front door, as a symbol of equality and realized hopes.
I will be proud to fly both.
