Unfortunately both trials devolved into a Rorschach Test on race.

with a little of the NRA's pet gun centered laws thrown in. That's why "what kind of a kid was Martin?" and "Who was dong the screaming for help?" are so important in what should have been an open and shut case of murder. The NRA is likely pouring money into this one to get Zimmie off and their lousy laws vindicated.

If they succeed, there will be other parallels, like the Martin family suing and making sure Zimmie is stripped of any ill gotten gain. Also, when people who are most likely guilty are gotten off by slick lawyers, they often end up in prison again within a very few years. I think this parallel will hold up, too, the guy is a loose cannon and always has been and he loves his guns.

But, I confess, I have not been paying super close attention.

But I hear them argue that they do not know who screamed for help?

It seems logical that the person with the gun would not be the one yelling for help, especially since he was doing the pursuing??

but it takes discarding some of what we 'all know happened'. Not what actually happened, the trial is filling that in, I mean what we all know happened.

Think about it for a bit, use person A and person B if it helps. Totally ignore the specific case/people. Person A is perusing person B. Person A is armed. A confrontation happens. person A screams for help, why?
