Earthlink got Hacked....Can't be on here for long...but a Heads Up...Wondering

if any other DU'ers had Problem with Earthlink from last Saturday until last night with "dropped service" and then it dying Thursday Night.

Been on with them for 6 Hours...(kid you not) trying to fix that a "portion of their internet went down." I'm on some crap password makeover....from them that I may not be able to change.

So...logging outta here because I might have little time left to post.

Just wanted to know about anyone else on Earthlink who might have "gotten back up" who might be here...and to warn them that the Hack isn't fixed. I'm here on a "Temporary/Unsecured Password... So I gotta get off.

If anyone has more info please post...and if, I'm still here ...hopefully I can read ...but If NOT then it alerts other Earthlink subscribers that if they are having problems...it's not them ...but the HACK.

but I have cable and have had a lot of trouble with Safari today. I could not become connected with that browser. But I switched to Firefox and had no problem. I finally went back to Safari and it worked. I prefer Safari because it is a lot easier to navigate in then Firefox.

And went with evil AT&T. It seemed like we never could get on the Internet. I paid $75 a month I even paid more for faster Internet. Finally I had to drop the service. We went 2 weeks without the Internet. I kept telling myself remember you lived without it for 40 years. I think they are trying to get these smaller providers out of business. I tried to get Dish Internet but they didn't offer it in my area. Pressure from my husband and son drove me to AT&T. I had to sign a 2 year contract grrrrrr.
