WFTV obtained video Thursday of a worker at a local animal hospital caught on camera swinging a dog by a leash and even slamming it into a wall.
WFTV confronted the clinic's owner. He said he stands behind his employee.
The video was captured at the Emergency Pet Hospital of Orlando, on White Road near Good Homes Road.
Channel 9' Renee Stoll talked to the woman in that video handling the dog. She said the same thing as her boss did at the hospital: The video was stolen, posted as revenge, and doesn't show the whole story of what happened

This is a TINY dog and a HUGE tech and they claimed the dog was "agressive".
I know a few people in my circle who would like to show the so-called vet tech how to handle a small puppy.......

(20,582 posts)That woman needs to be fired and charged with animal cruelty and the vet re-examine his priorities ... obviously they don't include animal safety. Poor puppy.

ORLANDO, Fla. -Allegations of dog abuse at an Orlando animal hospital have now forced the state attorney's office to consider charging the clinic's manager after graphic video showed her slamming a small dog against a wall by its leash.
The woman seen slamming the small dog against a wall -- at least four times -- is the manager at the Emergency Pet Hospital on White Road in Orlando, said Veterinarian Dr. Mohammad Hassan, and she is still working at the clinic.
The cellphone video lasts 32 seconds and was posted on YouTube by a woman who received it from people who worked at the hospital.

(1 post)I am writing on behalf of Dr. Hassan and the staff of the hospital. Misinformation is rampant in this case, and I wanted to share what I think are some critical facts. The vet tech shown in the video has been fired. The clinic is participating in the investigation in any way it can, even pulling its own surveillance video to assist. Dr. Hassan is 100% emphatically against animal mistreatment. When the video response was filmed, he was unable to respond freely because of employment law issues (the person had not yet received news of the termination) and he was acting on legal advice. By the time he as able to publicly state she was fired, this story had already spread far and wide. Dr. Hassan is shocked and sickened by the abuse in the video. He's personally responded to hundreds of emails regarding this incident. He has hired consultants as well to study the supervision protocols and make sure the staff is adequately trained to ensure nothing like this ever could happen again. This action by the terminated employee is disturbing to everyone, including Dr. Hassan, who is an animal lover which is why he became a vet. He provides free or at cost treatment for numerous rescue groups in our community, and beginning today, they'll be making statements on the clinic's behalf on Facebook. The Emergency Pet Hospital of Orlando condemns the action of former employee Stephanie Stasse and apologizes to the animal loving public.
