The GOP'ers are in their final stage and the prognosis is not good.

They have been diagnosed with term-anal stupidity, having been born without a heart, brain or human emotion. They are in their death throes.

The stench of their putrid flesh is in the air.

Their actions over the last 48 hours, have signed their fate. They have tried to undermine all that this Nation stands for. They did it with their treacherous lies, their snide condescending innuendos and their incessant need to strike down our humanity.

They spread their wings the last 48 hours, to show us all that they are the superior beings. They failed.

We have become Stronger for their actions.

Do you feel it? That rumbling sound, the tremors, they have been there for some time. Now it is getting louder and stronger.

That sound is all of us, we are standing up. I saw that last night in Texas. I saw it when five SCOTUS stood and told us that our votes shouldn't be counted.

Tactical error for the GOP. People ARE standing. As one, America Strong!

America Strong and Proud~

You should take some time and read about the last 48 hours or so.

After that you should probably take some time to view what our President has done for this country. Your statement is truly misinformed since you see no difference between this President and Rmoney!

Get back to me when you do.

Until then goodnight!!!!

And to a large extent true. Much of the GOP does think Romney wasn't conservative enough. The poster wasn'expressing their own views. Perhaps your reading skills need improving, or maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Obama pre-compromising by offering programs that are half-GOP crap, and on some issues, like health care reform and education "reform" backing 100% conservative think tank programs before the GOP even has a chance to twist his arm.

Fri Jun 28, 2013, 02:03 PM
Jun 2013

I know it's probably impolitic to say what I feel here - but I actually WANT a one-party government for a little while. Just maybe through the next (hopefully) Democratic presidency immediately after President Obama's.

WE NEED TO FIX THE SUPREME COURT. And that seems to be the only way to do it. Keep the White House in Democratic hands, with a solid wall of Dems in the Senate, solid enough to blunt ANY of the enemy's attempts to block court nominations.

And we have to fix the appeals courts, too. Those bastards are keeping some really great and progressive-thinking judges like Goodwin Liu off the bench. If judges like him can't get to the appeals court level, they can't affect change at that level OR be well-positioned to advance to Supreme Court consideration. Too many CON-leaning judges have gotten in (of course there was no resistance from our side when bush/cheney and reagan/bush were packing the courts from coast to coast), and that is the talent pool that is critical here.

I want the republi-CONS as much of a shriveled weenie as they've been rendered here in California. There are still some in the state legislature. Thankfully, though, not enough to make trouble of any real significance. They don't have the numbers to obstruct. And frankly, that's how I like it. Just me, I know. And yeah, I know about the "loyal opposition" stuff and everything else. But too many of them are fucking up our country, our legal system, our civil rights, all the progress we made as a country through the 60s and 70s, hell, since the New Deal (which they hate and yearn to dismantle completely, mind you). WE HAVE TO FIX AND SECURE SO MUCH OF WHAT THEY'VE BEEN ABLE TO DESTROY!!!!!!!!

(Sorry to yell, but I can't help it. I find this emergency-level urgent!!!!)

We HAVE TO do this at the state level as well as nationally. What we're seeing in Virginia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas, and more, in terms of women's reproductive rights, voting rights, marriage equality, and so many other issues we care about, should be proof positive of how urgent it is to remove and replace as many of the GOP as possible with Democrats.

I've begun to feel kinda like one of reagan's "Kitchen Cabinet" monsters did. Industrialist justin dart was one of that little private backstage cabal of off-the-books advisors that helped steer that idiot's policies from early-on. He had NO regard whatsoever for environmental protection or preservation and regarded it as a nuisance in the way of big business and corporate profiteering. justin dart was once quoted as saying we should plan to preserve about 100 acres of trees - "for the kids." The rest were to be sacrificed on the altar of the lumber and real estate developers' industries. That's how I feel about the republi-CON party these days. We should aim to see to it that there are about 100 of 'em in office throughout the country. You know (she said, smirking). "For the kids."

I feel the same way about 2016. The GOP is basically conducting an 8-year primary and I imagine they'll but up a reasonable facsimile of a reasonable candidate, and by that time the Obama admin will have taken 8 years of non-stop hits from the swiftboaters.

On the other hand, Team O has shown a remarkable ability to pull the iron out of the fire when things get desperate. 2010 was an exception, but I don't think 2014 will be as bad and I don't think they're ignoring 2016 either. And the demographic trend is on our side and even Texas is scheduled for a blue shift in a few years. So we'll see.

Meanwhile Team O keeps knocking back the haters and every victory counts!

You finally drive the knife in and he collapses to the ground.
He's gone and you try to recover your breath but then shockingly he leaps up with a scream and attacks you again.
You manage to defeat him once more and he's dead.
But his hatred drives him back up and he drags his broken body towards you intent on finishing the job.

Sooner or later the credits will roll but you've got to kill him several times more before it's over.

Sometimes the Dems are just that feckless. They've seen all the movies and they know the inevitable outcome but somehow, like the teen in the next flick, they think its a good idea to open the cabin door and go for a walk at night.

On the ash heap of history. Unfortunately the Blue Dog Senate Majority Leader along with our Blue Dog President, lifted them out, dusted them off, and shined them up for 2010.

The fact that Republicans are once again trying to self-immolate will motivate these same Blue Dogs to put out the flames in 2014.

as the Blue Dogs. The members are essentially Conservative Democrats. I like to think of them as Republican Lite. Often they are referred to as DINOs (Democrats In Name Only).

I consider Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and President Obama to be conservative Democrats. Therefore I think of them as Blue Dogs or DINOs.

From "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", at this point they are hopping on a single leg and calling out to all who would listen that they are winning.

Do we chop off their other leg and leave them ranting on the ground never to stand again. Or do we administer a coup de gras and end the stupid game forever.
