Double-think and Newthink allow us to actually hold the idea of being pro-life and the death penalty in mind as an acceptable form of reason.
Our Rethuglicans are merely a step ahead of the game before we, as a society, end-up there because there is no freedom or democracy at all and there never was. This is all about the discarding of a fantastically ornate and elaborate mask that, thanks to the technology we all paid for dearly, conveniently allows for the discarding of unnecessary facades and foolish bromides as we get ready to reveal the underlying facts of being owned and, ultimately, enslaved since we choose not to respond in kind as we really, really should if we value anything like freedom at all.
Death is life! The fetus is the most sacred thing on earth until it is born and then, it becomes a sacrilege and worthy of every and any bad thing that can happen, including poverty, low wages, prison, hell, fines, and the most prestigious new American appellation of Enemy Combatant!
I should have remained a fetus. Then, I would be the most beloved and protected thing in the distorted, pseudo-religious and rather obese, American mind/culture.
