He was in the military. He was in the CIA. He founded a very successful energy investements company, Falcon Seaboard, and from there into politics.

He's following the George HW Bush model.

Ted Cruz and the Tea Party cut him off at the knees in the 2012 Senate race.

He'll likely be running for governor against Greg Abbott, unless Perry runs again. But Perry is likely to let it go to run full-time for the 2016 Republican nomination.

So, he'll be like George HW and run and run until he gets elected, or appointed, to something, etcetera.

Unless .... he becomes tarred with a felony.
