Completely stupid post, but what's with Zimmerman's 120lb+ weight gain?

Is he a tortured soul who can only find solace at the bottom of a gallon of ice cream? Did his defense team want him looking soft instead of a lean mean teenager killing machine? Did a Taco Bell open on his block? Scared of prison and wants to be unattractive to the other inmates?

Ideas?

Goiters are due to a thyroid problem which also causes weight gain. If I knew how, I'd set up a fund raising campaign to help her out.

Rachel Jeantel, in spite of being an unsophisticated teen who was reluctant to be pushed onto the world stage to testify, came across as a credible and authentic witness, and was able to rise above the stress and step out of her comfort zone to give Trayvon a powerful voice in the prosecution of his murderer. That is praise worthy.

If someone here knows how to set up a fund for her medical and other needs, please get to it!

many times over, so there will be no getting an answer from him that is trustworthy. That is going to be an insurmountable problem for the defense if they put him on the stand. Unless something changes, right now my money is on him sitting it out.

Weight loss or gain, medical problems. One witness I saw called back repeatedly developed tics and back problems. At the end, every time he lied his throat began to close up and he spoke with a hoarse strangle.

It's almost unbearably stressful to be on trial.

I haven't heard if he was even sorry that the whole thing happened.

Guilt can mess you up pretty bad. I wonder if that's worse than any other reason.

People keep saying meds. Was he on anti depressants before the incident? If so, should he have had a gun?

But lying under oath is so stressful that lawyers have a trick to show jurors how to tell who's lying: They ask the witness or defendant a series of questions they know will elicit a lie, then switch without warning to a question that can be answered truthfully. The throat relaxation is so sudden and so obvious, the RELIEF at being able to tell the truth is so obvious in the voice, the jury has to wonder why anyone bothers to lie.

to meddle in the lives of others as well. I would be twice my size if I didn't control what went into my mouth, but that goes for a lot of other aspects of my life too, which require self control and self-discipline, something this young man doesn't seem to have.

It does seem like the defense has gone to great lengths to make him look weaker than he probably is. I heard the prosecution said he was a trained fighter. If that is true then he had quite an advantage over a 17 year old teenage boy.

fund went to feeding his face to fatten him up. They must be so proud of themselves! Judging from the amount of junk food he bought during his short jail stay, he worked his jaw muscles hard to pack on those 120 lbs in less than a year. That took dedication, but the reward was big...looking like a blubbery, non-threatening defendant to a jury packed with middle-aged women.

I seem to recall that a police report from the day of Trayvon's murder had Zimmerman's weight listed at about 195 lbs. Then when he was subsequenty arrested a couple months later for the murder the police had his weight listed as about 205 lbs. Apparently, he really ballooned up after he went into hiding.

A lot of starch and few vegetables. My cousin gains a hundred pounds very time he goes to jail. Which is good since he's sucked up from crack smokin by he time he gets arrested for shoplifting.
