Anyone nervous about the DOMA and Prop 8 rulings after today's voting rights act ruling?

My wife is on pins and needles. My wife wants to see her friends to marry. They are a great couple especially the one guy who was able to adopt a couple neighborhood kids and keep them out of trouble He adopted them when he was 20 and at the age of 35 is referred to as Granpap by the his adopted son's kids.

when he mentioned how things are different today. he is stupid in thinking we still don't need certain laws but it shows he is aware there have been changes for the better.

and in the area of gay rights we have moved forward and if he really means what he says he should not vote to set it back.

Prop 8 ruling. Not so sure about DOMA. It seems to hinge on Kennedy.

I think the Prop 8 case will likely bring marriage equality to states besides Ca. I'm just not sure how many.

Businesses now want gay marriage - or at least don't want to have to oppose it.
The GOP is seeing that opposing gay marriage is in most places going from a positive vote getter to a negative vote getter.

Those two facts will influence Roberts and Kennedy. The sooner their masters can put the gay marriage issue behind them, the better they are off.
