DH came home from lunch with a bizarro rumor about Snowden being a virtual construct

I because I am an old sci fi fan and should have seen this one coming. It's a classic Freudian wish-fulfillment fantasy: The man who will never be captured because he is not a flesh and blood human.

Did I mention that dh is "the old guy" at a young tech firm?

Let me know if you encounter this fantasy anywhere else.

Great read. Comment stolen from there > has anyone seen Eric Cantor & Snowden in same place? KittyWampus Jun 2013 #4
It is actually fairly decent outside the box thinking though. In the end, unless we are first person KittyWampus Jun 2013 #3

witnesses- how would we know? And we could get even more philosophical and ask even if we WERE first hand witnesses… are we really so sure?

nor Mearns' Corollary:

The Little Man Who Wasn't There

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
I wish, I wish he’d go away...

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door... (slam!)

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away

Nope, not a distraction.

But it tells me that they are getting ready to leave the hunt.
