Assange said he knows where Snowden is and "his spirits are high":
Assange added:
The current status of Mr Snowden and Ms [Sarah] Harrrison [of Wikileaks, who travelled with him from Hong Kong]: both are healthy and safe and they are in contact with their legal team. I cant give further information as to their whereabouts or present circumstances other than to say that the matter is in hand.
Assange added:
We are aware of where Edward Snowden is. He is in a safe place and his spirits are high. Due to the bellicose threats coming from the US administration we cannot go into further detail at this time.
Unfortunately we cannot reveal what country he is in at this time.

(26,624 posts)4. Bernie Sanders says to dialouge about this spying business instead of hunting this man. And
now that he is no where to be found. Let's focus on making our private business private, and our public business public..

I like how there's even a picture of an "empty passenger seat that might have been registered to Edward Snowden" on the Moscow-Havana flight. That's in-depth journalism right there.
Every seat not taken by Snowden on that flight belonged to journalists and secret agents pretending to be journalists. As they were pretty much stuck on that flight without Snowden, they had to do something to cover the ticket cost.
It was basically a ticket for 24 hour interview-marathon. I imagine the unsold tickets went in minutes after Snowden announced he would be on that flight and the already sold ones went to black market in hours as well.

A plane full of journalists with the DTs and no interviewee. What could go wrong with that?
