however there are good reasons to be angry right now, so it's not unexpected.

The level of debate about what has happened gives me some hope that changes can be made before we really become a totalitarian state. Wrongdoing is suddenly exposed like a nest of termites and the residents are in disarray. The discussion on this is all good IMO. Gets to the core of the deep fears we have tried to push away.

There is a whole lotta anger around this. Anger at the discovery, anger at the messenger, anger at the betrayal of public trust by the PTB, anger at those who would dare criticize the PTB, and anger at the negative implications for American democracy. Did I forget any of the various anger triggers going on here?

It is good to see this. But I also appreciate your reminder to keep it civil.

Let me say this: I see those on the Left, our COMMUNITY.
as dedicated to advancement -- of ourselves AND others...
of Humanity as a whole. And I see those on the Right as
dedicated to repression -- of "others", of course.

And I see incivility as a form, a tool of repression -- and I
am so disappointed how easily we as a "Community" seem
to slip into utilizing that tool against one another.
