This is in response to the thread about the women who was fired when her abusive SO showed up at her

workplace.

In at "at will" employment state, employers can fire you for any reason or for NO reason.

Some of you must have had experiences with employment that are very different from what I've observed.

Someone said on another thread, "I don't see how a company could get away with firing someone for something that is completely out of her control"

In a perfect world, they wouldn't be able to.

But the reality is, for many people, employers can fire you for any reason or for NO reason. Unless you can get them
on age/race discrimination, etc. Good luck with that one.
