Why shouldn't David Gregory be fired?

For someone in such a position as he and with so little understanding of the First Amendment role in oversight of our government, why should he continue to be moderator of Meet the Press?

But his comments and questions for Glenn Greenwald are indicative of how most MSM "moderators" see themselves. They are there to support the government and the status quo, not to investigate or question them.

But Gregory has shown himself to be incompetent. It was embarrassing to see him so blatantly pro-government. He is no watch-dog. He is a lap poodle.
