This morning the TX House voted to essentially ban all abortion

Yes, this will be appealed. Yes, there will be an injunction, but this is where we are in state after state.

Republicans armed with Bible verses have given preliminary approval to some of the strictest abortion regulations in the country as time runs out on the Texas special legislative session.

Democrats were supported by hundreds of demonstrators as they stalled the legislation for 15 hours. Republicans voted to cease debate and vote early Monday morning. They still need to take another later Monday.

If passed, the measure would ban abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy, require doctors to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals and limit abortions to surgical centers. Supporters say the bill will improve women's health care, but opponents argue the bill will shut down 37 of 42 abortion clinics in the state.

"If this passes, abortion would be virtually banned in the state of Texas, and many women could be forced to resort to dangerous and unsafe measures," said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund and daughter of the late former Texas governor Ann Richards.

There will be a kickback - a hard, hard kickback.

They overplayed their hand and they will get kicked in the nuts come next election.

I have learned not to underestimate either ALEC or the anti-choicers.

Oh goody, we're going to have ragged urchin street children/beggars just like the other third world nations.
