Rule is in place for transgender athletes in Nebraska schools, but it hasn't been tested
I'm often mad at the NSAA over some things it does. Not today:

Nearly six months after it went into effect, a Nebraska School Activities Association policy for transgender students in school sports and other activities remains untested.
No schools have worked their way through a process that allows a transgender athlete to participate on a sports team of the gender with which he or she identifies so long as the student meets certain criteria. And no school officials, parents or community members have raised objections to the new rules.
In short, the policy has been a nonissue, even though it sets Nebraska apart from other states, including Iowa, that don't have specific rules for transgender student-athletes on the books.
Rhonda Blanford-Green, NSAA's executive director, proposed the new policy in November, four months after she left a similar job in Colorado to move to Nebraska. The former Husker track standout said she didn't intend to make waves or turn talk to politics.
