VaccinationVaccination Hoax is overVaccines
Andrew Baker ( FFN),- Freedom of Information Act in the UK filed by a doctor there has revealed 30 years of secret official documents showing that government experts have
1. Known the vaccines dont work
2. Known they cause the diseases they are supposed to prevent
3. Known they are a hazard to children
4. Colluded to lie to the public
5. Worked to prevent safety studies
Those are the same vaccines that are mandated to children in the US.
Educated parents can either get their children out of harms way or continue living inside one of the largest most evil lies in history, that vaccines full of heavy metals, viral diseases, mycoplasma, fecal material, DNA fragments from other species, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80 (a sterilizing agent) are a miracle of modern medicine.
Freedom of Information Act filed in the US with the CDC by a doctor with an autistic son, seeking information on what the CDC knows about the dangers of vaccines, had by law to be responded to in 20 days. Nearly 7 years later, the doctor went to court and the CDC argued it does not have to turn over documents. A judge ordered the CDC to turn over the documents on September 30th, 2011.

(90,827 posts)I understand your concern for your sister (and her child). I'm a grandmother now, and remember the effects of childhood diseases all too well. What I didn't know firsthand I could learn from my mother and grandmother. Did the family genealogy at one point and saw how high infant and child mortality used to be. I am pro-vaccine.

The second link doesn't work anymore, so read Sid's excerpt in the OP. Beware of some of the other posts that follow, but there is some good info to be gleaned despite it. By the way, Andrew Wakefield, the former doctor who stirred up so much anti-vax hysteria, lost his license in the UK for using children as subjects with "callous disregard."

Here's the general link to the blog:
Science-Based Medicine
It is probably the best blog on the topic. But it is a bit geeky. They talk science there.
Love Dr. Marc Crislip and Dr. Steve Novella. But the rest are very good, too.
Good luck!

(90,827 posts)The only reason the death rate was as low as it was is that we have much better medical support than a century ago, or even a half-century ago.
My own county in California is spiking pertussis, aka Whooping Cough, which is very dangerous. The DPT vax covers 3 killers: Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus (aka Lockjaw). There is just no excuse.
We now have two generations in this country who have no experience of the diseases that have been prevented by vaccinations. Part of the problem is that our schools evidently don't teach public health history -- or if it gets mentioned, it must not be presented in a way that sticks in the minds of students long enough to inform their decisions as parents. I suggest lurid photos and videos of kids in iron lungs, and I'm not kidding. Old issues of LIFE magazine's coverage of our last great polio epidemic, for instance. There are plenty of first hand accounts of various epidemics by authors of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
I feel rather passionately about this. I was born in 1947, and there wasn't a school in the nation that didn't have one or two children on crutches and heavy braces from polio when I was growing up. The more handicapped were not in public school at all; neither were the dead. When the vaccine became available, parents lined their kids up around the block to get the shot. I remember the night the clinic was held at my elementary school; my parents walked all 4 of us over and we waited our turn. My little sister became hysterical at the prospect of being poked with a needle, but that did not spare her. My parents -- and all parents of the time -- knew too much.
