He's in a minority here in Vermont.

(11,464 posts)makes me wonder what will happen when the senior senator from Mass says the same thing
btw, the public does know about it.

(20,450 posts)gave us Blue Dog and corporatists Democrats, the "LEFT" has never bashed him about that. For some reason, they give Dean a pass on his mistakes or when he says or does things that they wouldn't ordinarily agree with.
When Dean was governor, he wasn't the liberal stalwart that the "LEFT" thinks he is. He was a corporatist Democrat, very pro-business.

(20,450 posts)The problem is that the Corporate Media and yard burners on BOTH the left and the right can't shut up long enough to listen.

(1,010 posts)Fisa courts approvals, some ball park metrics on how effective the program is, and at least several real examples of how it has helped us. Some older cases would be fine if they don't want to compromise on-going investigations.
I'd rather not have to wait till 2038 for the declassified info.

(114,904 posts)and the ACLU doesn't think it's nonsense. Senator Leahy doesn't. Senator Sanders doesn't, but YOU are clearly tossing those who disagree with you under the bus with your contempt.

(24,689 posts)Some DUers have told me to get the "F" out of here for having this opinion. That's pretty far under the bus, I would think.
Perhaps your are more reasonable.

(32,017 posts)Hmm ... given what I know of my Senators, I suspect Dr. Dean is on the wrong side of this issue.

(45,319 posts)no more about this program than he hears on the news, maybe some gossip or chat, but he's not briefed on anything. Never has been.
I have two Senators who are Democrats for whom I voted and worked to elect. Wyden and Merkley are doing fine, and they are actual elected officials. They do not agree with Howard, they are far more informed than he could legally be, and let's repeat that they are Democrats. Not Blue Baggers or Tea Dogs or whatever nonsense they go by. Democrats.
