NRA brags about money from mass murder of children/ Man kills ex-girlfriend in Philly

Can you believe that NRA is bragging about how good the mass murder of children has been for business? Jesus taught it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. What would Jesus think about a lobbying group being publicly joyous about its increase in dues-paying members because of the mass murder of children? Have they no shame?

I today call on the NRA to donate every penny of this money to groups helping the families of children, police and firefighters who were victims of violence committed with guns.

Let’s be clear. The red, white and blue of American patriotism should never be used by anyone in the service of the gold and green of profiteering from the murder of American children. . . .

As for the NRA, it is crass, craven and vile for any lobbying group to be publicly bragging that the mass murder of America's children is good for their business.

Shame, shame, shame.

The face of evil: the gun lobby and their lackeys.

Utah top gun lobbyist arrested for threatening ex-wife with a 2.5 Ton Army Surplus vehicle

This guy made good on his threats: Man Shoots Ex-Girlfriend in Apparent Murder-Suicide http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2013/06/09/2-dead-in-apparent-murder-suicide-in-prospect-park/

These are the rights they are fighting for, the rights to be prepared to kill their ex-girlfriends and wives at a moments notice. They oppose background checks and even requirements that guns be stored safely away from children. Why? How is it possible to conclude they do not want to see people die when they oppose provisions so basic?

They blame the failure of background checks of the fact that DEMOCRATS dared to voice their First Amendment rights, as permitted by the constitution and even the Scalia court, to try to restrict the most murderous of weapons, the AR-15 used in Newton, Aurora, CA, and most recently by the California gunman. One has to wonder what is it they plan on doing with those guns that they can't do with another weapon? How many people must they kill at once to feel "free"?

as the gun nuts lined up to purchase them after Sandyhook. The gun lobby loves mass shootings. It's profit all the way around, and that is ALL they care about.

Declare the NRA a terrorist organization, and issue warrants for the leadership.

How long are we going to suffer under a group of armed extremists in out own country?

Are you running out of material that you're recycling?

It's not the murders that ramp up sales, it's the talk of firearm bans that gets sales going.

Why are you so compelled to defend the NRA? The story about the murder-suicide was this weekend. Try reading.

I said the blog piece is five months old, but it is true that you conjoined it with a newer news link. The blog piece is not based in fact because the NRA never bragged about money or membership from the murder of children. Such increases come from talk of bans or onerous restrictions.

The NRA is easy to criticize so I have to wonder why you would want to link and quote an obviously untrue blog piece.

I know gun control is losing momentum and desperation is setting in as it returns to a back burner issue, but you can do better than this blog.

Yet you feel compelled to defend them. They not only profit off the murder of children, they salivate over it. The only thing untrue is your propaganda. There was never any talk from the govt about confiscating guns. The NRA sees mass shootings as an opportunity to whip the brain dead morons that make up their followers into a frenzy about gun confiscation. Gun idiots have no fucking concept of what the proposals are, or what the laws propose. The NRA makes sure of that by spreading lies designed to foment as many murders as possible. That crap only exists in the minds of paranoid gun fanatics, yet you pretend it is factual and defend NRA fear mongering.

Gun control is not losing momentum. All the polls have moved against the GOP congresspeople who blocked background checks and ignore public opinion in favor of their corporate masters. You may be correct that gun control measures will not pass and the gun lobby will instead succeed in fomenting the murders of tens of Americans every year, especially people of color. It is possible that no gun measures will succeed because we have a cleptocaracy rather than a democracy, and that is exactly how the gun nuts want it. They are more than happy to ally themselves with corporate industry above democracy and the will of the people. But it's also possible that many of those GOP representatives who voted against gun control provisions will lose their bids for reelection.

The corporate masters control gun policy as they do everything else. They spread unemployment, poverty, and gun violence because they profit from misery. It is quite possible than more Americans will die and poverty will grow, and that is exactly how the gun nuts want it, especially in regard to victims of color. They can count their victories with every blood riddled corpse, and the fact that more Americans have died from guns since Sandyhook than during the entire Iraq war means they have much to be proud of. That is the blood drenched America the gun lobby made.

And yes, I'm emotional. If I ever reached the point where I were not angered by the needless loss of human life, that would mean I lost all touch with anything resembling humanity.

I have no intention of responding to any of your posts in the future, and I would appreciate it if you did the same.

Substituting words that have different meanings when discussing a point is no way to have a meaningful discussion.

No one salivates over the deaths of children or adults. Not the NRA and not gun control advocates.

I understand that some must demonized others in order to make a stand, but it isn't
necessary.

If you don't want to see my responses to your posts then I suggest putting me on ignore.

Deaths over 24 hours ago, suicides, accidental gun deaths, and basically any murder because they are committed by criminals. I'm sure I left out several categories. They are so hard to keep up with.

I have come to the conclusion that they want to see as many people of color die as possible. It's not a coincidence that the NRA is almost exclusively white (12 African Americans out of a convention of 45,000 members). Most of them live in rural areas, which is fine, but when they try to impose their local gun laws on those of us in cities, it becomes clear to me that their goal is to see as many people of color murdered as possible. The GOP can't adapt politically to demographic changes, so the NRA/GOP (same thing) not only works to strip cities of their rights to self determination, but gun nuts even go to cities to pass out guns. They do so because they want to see people of color die. They can't win a majority through the ballot box, so they are doing everything in their power to restore white supremacy by exterminating urban populations. The KKK has resurrected itself through the NRA.
