Trader Joe's signed!

We won! Together, we stood up with Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) and told Trader Joe’s to sign the Fair Food Agreement, providing the men and women who harvest its tomatoes with worker protection and fair pay. And yesterday, Trader Joe’s did it!

It’s not every day that you get to wake up and say “I did something that directly improved thousands of peoples’ lives”. Today you can say that, because the SumOfUs community - which now numbers more than 200,000! - was a vital part of this victory.

i think i'll go out of my way to shop there now...in CA i live right across the street from a trader joe's but here in NC it's not so convenient.

Didn't realize that you're from Florida. Just watched that "Cracker Crazy" movie online last night, got freaked out about flooding in Florida and in my hometown (NYC), that hurricane that I don't ever want to think about again (read everything about it I could get my hands on last night including what is clearly the definitive web resource on it - which was an incredible site, but also traumatizing - couldn't sleep until morning, as I was so afraid to fall asleep and dream), and the despicable election politics in the state, as well as the awful treatment of Florida's working poor.

Glad to see a more positive story at the end of this night. Much, much better.
